A QUestion About The Tubes Inside My Guitar Amp?
I currently own a Peavey 112 Valveking amp - All stock. Ive heard alot of good things of the Tung Sol 12AX7 tube, And plan on replacing the 3 12AX7 tubes that are in this amp with these russian made ones. My question is concerning the 2 6L6GC tubes that are also a part of my amp. What would be a good choice to replace these with? Could I use Tung Sol for these too?? I play strictly metal and hard rock, So im looking for tubes with tons of gain and crunch. Please, Any advice would be great as im new to all this. Thanks.
I will say this about that, Used to repair em on a large level. I found using the Electron Tubes with the (MA0 as the last designator means you are using a very rugged military version of the same tube, Best Ever.Do your research on Google pricing for military surplus tube dealers normally originally packed unopened & very reliable.
