Would a democratic Iran be good or bad for Turkey?
What's happening in Iran now is very much like in the last revolution. It took 1½ years for the shah to fall. The next big demonstration wioll be in 4th of november.
But let's say that Iran becomes democratic. Will it be good or bad for Turkey?
30 years ago Turkey was very poor and had sanctions on it cause of the Cyprus war. When Iran became islamic they needed a new ally and lifted the sanctions on Turkey which has enabled Turkey to grow.
And when the financian crisis struck tourists stopped comming to Turkey and Turkey could not pay its debt. When the revolution started the Iranian leaders sent 18 bn dollars in gold to Turkeys central bank as a bribe. This saved Turkey from collapsing.

And then there is competition for tourists. No Iran is not all desert, lol.

Turkey declared itself an independent republic on Oct. 29, 1923. Since then Turkey is a modern, democratic and secular state. You have to fight for a democratic Iran. Your people and the rest of the world urgently need a democratic Iran.
