I am having troubles with 1999 custom classic when not started daily it spits oil and it is not over full ?
as long as I start it up daily it doesn't do it you also have to understand this is one out of 3 I have and my 95 dyna low rider doesn't even lose a drop of oil so I do take care of my bikes the 99 it is a california custom with a SS motor and it has a 10 thousand dollar paint job detachable bitch bar saddle bags a bar hopper basically what it is not meant to run on the interstate I run this bike to bike shows I run most of the time on a 04 dyna low rider fuel injected stage 2 with the down load hyper charger and thunder header on all 3 bikes and these bikes never see a shop learned a lesson after a accident that almost took my life.
It sounds like you might have a piece of crud on the seat for the check ball in the oil pump.Or the spring is going bad.That lets the crankcase fill up with oil when the bike sits for a while.Then when you start it the excess oil gets pumped into the breather and onto the ground.Remove the screw on the pump and remove the spring and check ball and inspect the seat for the ball.If it looks ok check the spring.Most likely it's the ball and seat though.
